A delegation of the National Authority for Remote Sensing and Space Sciences (NARSS) is due to pay a visit to Japan next Monday to discuss means of cooperation in the space engineering domain and get acquainted with the latest space technologies.
The visit falls within the framework of following up the recommendations and outcomes of the national conference for Egyptian expatriate scientists and experts, which was held in late 2016 under the slogan of Egypt Can.
It aims at probing the prospects of granting master's and Ph.D. degrees in the field of space engineering, in coordination with the Egyptian cultural office in Tokyo.
The move is meant to improve the skills of Egypt's space engineers in light of the anticipated scientific and educational partnership between Egypt and Japan, space Engineering Expert Mohamed Ibrahim said.
Under the partnership, hundreds of master's and Ph.D. degrees in the form of scholarships in various fields, including space engineering, will be granted by Japan.
