Cairo Appeal Court has set a Monday session to hold the appeal trial of Alaa Abdel Fattah and 24 other defendants in the case known as Shura Council protests that took place on November 26.
The defendants face charges of inciting riots, blocking roads, organizing protests without permission and attacking security forces.
Meanwhile, Cairo Criminal Court under Counselr Mohammad Ali Al-Feqqi recused itself in mid September from trying the defendants due to " feelings of embarrassment" and sent the case's files to Cairo Appeal Court.
The defendants imprisoned pending investigation were released on a five-thousand-pound bail.
