Arab League Secretary General Nabil El Araby will meet Member of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) Saeb Erekat to discuss the latest developments in the Palestinian cause and the current freeze of the political process.
Palestine's ambassador in Cairo Gamal al Shoubaky said the meeting will also tackle the latest developments in the Palestinian case and resorting to the UN to issue a resolution to end the Israeli occupation of the Palestinian territories.
In addition, the two sides will discuss future plans at regional and international levels to guarantee the rights of the Palestinians in coordination with the Arab League committee chaired by Egypt.
Erekat will also discuss in a meeting with Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry the Israeli moves in al Quds (East Jerusalem) including plans to build settlements and aggression on al Aqsa Mosque.
Such plans show the Israelis against a peaceful settlement to the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, he summed up.
Israel wants to drag the Middle East region to a religious conflict-hit area to withdraw the world attention from its plans to demolish houses and build settlements in Gaza Strip and the West Bank as well as al Quds, he concluded.
