The Cassation Court postponed on Sunday the trial of novelist Ahmed Nagy in the case of publishing and writing an article with an “obscene sexual content” to April 2.
Two weeks ago, the Misdemeanor Court accepted an appeal filed by Nagy against his two-year prison verdict.
In February, Nagy was sentenced to two years in prison over charges of publishing and writing an article with an “obscene sexual content”.
The court also ordered the editor-in-chief of Akhbar Al Adab to pay a 10,000-pound fine for publishing Nagy’s article.
