The Cassation Court decided to postpone until November 15 to review an appeal by the Prosecution to revoke a ruling to release Alaa and Gamal Muarak in the presidential palaces case.
Earlier, the Cairo Criminal Court issued a decision in October 2015 releasing Alaa and Gamal Mubarak, taking into account the time they have already served.
According to investigations, the two along with their father, used State funds for personal purposes – designing and furnishing their real-estate property in Cairo's posh Heliopolis and Katameya Heights districts and Sharm El-Sheikh and Marina resorts – in the period between 2002 and 2011.
