Egypt's Ready Made Garments Export Council (RMGEC) will participate in MAGIC Las Vegas exhibition, set for the United States on February 20-23, 2017.
In statements on Monday, the council's executive director, Sherien Hosni, said 13 Egyptian readymade garment companies will participate in the exhibition.
MAGIC, the largest marketplace, is an opportunity for Egyptian exporters to get acquainted with ways to showcase apparel, she added.
The council is seeking in the coming period to beef up this sector's exports to world countries, particularly America, to benefit from the Qualified Industrial Zones (QIZ) agreement, she said.
She further noted that Egypt's exports to the US market reached nearly 470 million dollars in 2016.
MAGIC takes place semi-annually. Every February and August the retail industry convenes in Las Vegas to spot and shop the latest trends in men's, women's, juniors' and children's apparel, footwear, accessories and resources
