France’s Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius will meet with coordinator of the Syrian opposition groups Riyad Hijab Monday to discuss ways to push forward the political process in Syria.
Fabius and Hijab will talk about resuming Syrian negotiations on January 25, French Foreign Ministry spokesman Romain Nadal said.
Fabius will reiterate his country’s support for the Syrian opposition in the coming negotiations and for applying UNSC resolution No. 2254.
Nadal said their meeting would also tackle measures needed to handle the dramatic humanitarian conditions in places besieged by the Syrian regime.
