Indian Minister for External Affairs Sushma Swaraj will start on Monday a two-day official visit to Egypt at an invitation from her Egyptian counterpart Sameh Shokry.
The Indian top diplomat during her first visit to Egypt will meet with President Abdel Fattah El Sisi and Foreign Minister Sameh Shokry, the Indian Ministry for External Affairs said in a statement issued Saturday.
The talks will tackle means of boosting bilateral ties as well as Egypt's participation in the Indian-African summit, slated for October, read the statement.
The statement said Egypt and India enjoy amicable ties and the top diplomat's visit will offer a opportunity for enhancing bilateral ties and exchanging points of view with the Egyptian leadership on issues of mutual concern.
