Moroccan King Mohammed VI will meet French President Francois Hollande at the Elysee Palace on Monday in an attempt to ease a year-long tension and resume diplomatic talks between the two countries.
The Moroccan king also paid a private visit to Paris few weeks ago.
Relations between th two countries were tensed after the French authorities accused Abdellatif Hammouchi, head of the Moroccan secret services (DGST) of torture.
The situation got worse when Moroccan Minister of Foreign Affairs, Salaheddine Mezouar went through a body search dubbed by Morocco as ‘humiliating’.
