US President Barack Obama will visit Saudi Arabia to attend a summit with leaders from the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries on April 21.
The gathering will be an opportunity for leaders to review progress in strengthening U.S.-GCC security cooperation since the productive Camp David Summit hosted by President Obama in May 2015, the White House said in a statement on Wednesday.
It will also provide an opportunity for leaders to discuss additional steps to intensify pressure on ISIL, address regional conflicts, and de-escalate regional and sectarian tensions, added the statement.
According to the White House, Obama's visit to the Kingdom will be part of a tour including Britain and Germany as well.
