Romanian Foreign Minister Bogdan Aurescu welcomed a visit to Bucharest by his Egyptian counterpart Sameh Shoukry in April, asserting his country's support to Egypt's democratic process and efforts to combat terror.
A statement released by the Embassy of Romania in Cairo here on Sunday said both sides discussed a number of issues on political dialogue and economic cooperation on the sidelines of the Munich International Security Summit.
The Egyptian side approved a Romanian proposal to promote the activities of the joint economic committee and Romania's offer to assist Egypt during the parliamentary elections, the statement said.
The talks also covered the implementation of the roadmap and both sides asserted the need for international cooperation in fighting terror.
