Los Angeles - UPI

Alycia Debnam-Carey and Frank Dillane have joined The Walking Dead companion series Cobalt.
The 21-year-old actress will portray Ashley, while the 23-year-old actor has been cast as Nick. Ashley and Nick are the children of protagonist Nancy, a guidance counselor, who teams up with divorced teacher Sean.
Cobalt will feature all-new characters, and take place outside of Georgia. The Walking Dead producers Robert Kirkman, Gale Anne Hurd and David Alpert will serve as executive producers on the pilot.
Debnam-Carey came to fame on Australian docu-series Next Stop Hollywood, and last starred in Into the Storm. Dillane is known for portraying Tom Riddle Jr. in Harry Potter & The Half-Blood Prince, and is scheduled for In the Heart of the Sea in 2015.
The Walking Dead is based on Kirkman's comic book series of the same name, and debuted on AMC in 2010. The drama is in its fifth season, and is currently on midseason break. Cobalt has yet to cast Nancy and Sean, and announce a premiere date.
