Egyptian band Black Theama recently finished filming the music video for their single Fi Belad El Ay Haga (In The countries of nonsense). The video is expected to air on Arab satellite channels in June. The song was writer by Mido Zohair, and composed by band member Amir Salah. Black Theama have experienced controversy with the new song, which opens with the lyrics: “In the countries of nonsense our morning is a thing and our night is another thing and who stole the whole morning is claiming that he is innocent from anything, maybe you want to oppose or shout in the country of nonsense.” The song was written in reference to Egypt and the recent political turmoil the country is experiencing. The band further offended groups after broadcasting an initial promo for the clip, which showed Egypt’s flag with a picture of a sheep instead of the eagle in the middle.
