A show dedicated to the saxophone in all its forms and all its possibilities of use, was staged Thursday evening by French group "L'artisanat furieux" (The furious craftsmanship) who explored much classical music. Held in the Aissa-Messaoudi auditorium of the national radio, the show representing the French participation in the 15th European Cultural Festival of Algiers brought together the most talented saxophonists of the Conservatory of Lyon. Conducted by Jean Denis Michat, the orchestra includes 14 musicians of different nationalities, playing four types of saxophones: alto, tenor, soprano, baritone and the rarely used bass-baritone. In the first part of the evening " L'artisanat furieux " explored one of the "Brandenburg Concerto" by the German composer Johann Sebastian Bach composed long before the invention of the saxophone by the Belgian Adolphe Sax in 1846.
