Disney is teaming up with Cinderella producer Allison Shearmur to roll out a remake of the 1992 flick Sister Act.
The Hollywood Reporter said Wednesday that Kirsten Smith and Karen McCullah -- writers of Legally Blonde, The House Bunny and She's the Man -- are on to re-write the flick, which originally starred Whoopi Goldberg, Maggie Smith and Harvey Keitel.
Details of the new story are remaining concealed for now, but the original plot centered around an unlucky lounge singer who witnesses a mob crime and is placed under police protection at a convent, where she masquerades as a nun.
