Faith Hill in returning to the silver screen in the upcoming indie crime drama Dixieland.
According to Deadline, the 47-year-old country star finished filming her part just in time for the 48th Annual Country Music Awards in Nashville on Nov. 5. Hill is set to play the main character's (Chris Zylka) mother, a woman who sees her son move back into her house after a stint in jail.
The film also stars Riley Keough, Elvis Prestley's granddaughter, as the girl next door, who strikes a relationship with Zylka's character.
Dixieland was written and directed by Hank Bedford and the film was shot on location in Jackson, Miss.
Hill's role in the film marks her first participation in a feature film since 2004's Stepford Wives.
