Julianne Moore stars in a first trailer for Still Alice.
The 54-year-old actress portrays the title character, Dr. Alice Howland, a psychologist with a husband (Alec Baldwin) and three children (Kristen Stewart, Kate Bosworth, Hunter Parrish). The character and her family must learn to cope after she is diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer's disease.
Still Alice is based on Lisa Genova's novel of the same name, and directed by Richard Glatzer and Wash Westmoreland. The film has garnered Oscar buzz for Moore, who spoke of her love and admiration for co-star Stewart in Nov.
Still Alice opens in theaters Jan. 16, 2015. Moore will reprise President Alma Coin in The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 2, and is also scheduled for Seventh Son with Jeff Bridges, and Freeheld with Ellen Page and Steve Carell.
