Channing Tatum and Mila Kunis have already attended promotional events for their epic sci-fi thriller, Jupiter Ascending, which snagged a coveted summer release date, July 18.
But special effects delays have reportedly forced Warner Brothers. and Village Roadshow to push the ambitious film's opening day back to February 6 of next year.
Siblings Lana and Andy Wachowski, the pair behind The Matrix series and Cloud Atlas, are known for their visionary use of special effects. Jupiter Ascending stars Mila Kunis as a janitor with a powerful genetic identity and Channing Tatum as a half-wolf hunter assigned to protect her.
There are also reports that executives were worried about the film's quality, and hoped to rework it for a less competative opening month like February.
