Kelli O'Hara joins the cast of NBC's 'Peter Pan'

Broadway star Kelli O'Hara has been cast as Mrs. Darling in the upcoming musical telecast of Peter Pan Live!, NBC announced Tuesday.
Starring Allison Williams as Peter Pan and Christopher Walken as Captain Hook, the program is to air Dec. 4.
O'Hara's character is the wife of George Darling -- to be played by Christian Borle -- and is the mother of Wendy, John and Michael. Casting for the famous nursery-dwellers has not been announced yet.
"Kelli O'Hara is Broadway royalty, a musical star at the top of her game," Robert Greenblatt, chairman of NBC Entertainment, said in a statement. "She will be perfect as the regal mother of the Darling children, and we look forward to her rendition of the beautiful lullaby Tender Shepherd."
O'Hara has earned five Tony nominations for her memorable performances in The Bridges of Madison County, Nice Work If You Can Get It, South Pacific,The Pajama Game and The Light in the Piazza. Her other Broadway productions include Follies, Sweet Smell of Success: The Musical and Jekyll & Hyde.
