Kelly Clarkson gave a powerful rendition of British singer Sam Smith's hit single "Stay With Me" while performing at a free concert at Charlotte, N.C.'s Symphony Park on Sunday.
The 32-year-old singer introduced the song to the crowd by stating her next track was "bluesy and it's awesome" and later joked that she loved to sing songs with the word "stay" in them.
"Well, I love this song. I know you've probably heard it a bunch, but just bear with me," she continued. "I love it. This is called 'Stay With Me.'"
Clarkson's performance at the Microsoft-sponsored event was her first solo gig since giving birth to her first daughter in June.
