Kirsten Dunst stars in a first full Fargo season 2 trailer.
The 33-year-old actress portrays Peggy Blomquist, an ambitious beautician married to local butcher Ed (Jesse Plemons). The preview sees state trooper Lou Solverson (Patrick Wilson) investigate an apparent robbery-murder that begins to spiral out of control.
Cristin Milioti plays Lou's wife Betsy, with Jean Smart as Floyd Gerhardt, the mother of murder suspect Rye Gerhardt (Kieran Culkin). Ted Danson portrays sheriff Hank Larsson, with supporting roles by Nick Offerman, Bokeem Woodbine and Bruce Campbell.
Season 2 takes place 27 years prior to season 1 in 1979, and will premiere in October. The series is inspired by the 1996 Coen brothers film of the same name, and won several awards, including an Emmy for Oustanding Miniseries, for season 1.
