Kyra Sedgwick will guest star on Brooklyn Nine-Nine.
The 48-year-old actress will portray Deputy Chief Madeline Wuntch in two episodes of the comedy's second season. The character is a longtime rival of Captain Holt (Andre Braugher), and hopes to take him down when she evaluates his precinct.
Brooklyn Nine-Nine premiered on Fox in 2013, and stars Andy Samberg as Detective Jake Peralta. Peralta is childish but talented sleuth who works alongside by-the-book Detective Amy Santiago (Melissa Fumero), nervous Detective Charles Boyle (Joe Lo Truglio), mysterious Detective Rosa Diaz (Stephanie Beatriz) and leader Detective Sergeant Terry Jeffords (Terry Crews).
Sedgwick is known for her role as Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson on TNT crime drama The Closer. The series had a seven season run, and came to a close in August 2012. The actress is scheduled to appear in a number of upcoming films, including The Humbling with Al Pacino, Reach Me with Sylvester Stallone and Big Sky with Bella Thorne.
The second season of Brooklyn Nine-Nine premieres October 5 on Fox. Sedgwick's first appears in the second episode of the season.
