Singer and songwriter Lady Gaga is to give a "special tribute performance" at the 87th Oscars ceremony, show producers Craig Zadan and Neil Meron announced Thursday.
"Lady Gaga is a once-in-a-lifetime artist whose musical evolution keeps growing. We are proud to have her perform on the Oscars for the very first time," Zadan and Meron said in a joint statement.
The producers also announced Chiwetel Ejiofor, Chris Evans, Dakota Johnson, Jennifer Lopez, Chloë Grace Moretz, Eddie Murphy and Margot Robbie have joined the star-studded roster of presenters at the event, which will honor 2014's best in film.
The telecast is to be hosted by Neil Patrick Harris Feb. 22 on ABC.
