Star Wars fans who can't wait until they wake up on Thursday, December 17, to see the long-awaited latest instalment of the sci-fi saga, Episode VII: The Force Awakens, can rejoice — the UAE's major cinema chains are hosting screenings just after midnight on Wednesday.
Most theatres operated by Vox, Reel and Novo Cinemas are screening the movie in the early hours of opening day, with advance booking recommended.
"I can't give out exact numbers, but advance sales are going really well,” said a spokesman for Vox Cinemas.
"We're expecting sold-out cinemas all weekend, especially for Star Wars in Imax.
"It's looking like a really busy weekend as [Hindi blockbuster] Dilwale is doing really well too.”
