The new trailer for the film Unbroken tells the story of Olympic runner Louis Zamperini's life as a prisoner of war during World War II.
The movie follows Zamperini, played by British actor Jack O'Connell, from the time he was a young boy inspired to run by his brother Pete (Alex Russell) through his time at war. After his plane is struck down, he is captured by Japanese forces and spends two years in an internment camp.
Angelina Jolie, who directed the film, reportedly got very close to Zamperini. He died of pneumonia at age 97 shortly before the trailer was released.
The film will hit theaters Christmas Day.
