Star Wars fans will be happy to learn that plans for the anticipated Disney rides based on the beloved space franchise will be unveiled in 2015.
Disney's CEO Bob Iger addressed the unveiling of the rides while speaking to Bloomberg about the company's first quarter results.
"Fairly soon, I'm sure we'll be ready to go public with some specifics," said Iger. "But it's safe to say that you'll see a lot more Star Wars at Disney and at Disney parks in the near future."
Iger also said the plans were "ambitious" and that it's "going to take some time for them to be built and opened."
Last year Iger said Disney plans to have a "much larger Star Wars presence in our parks globally" and revealed the new attractions will be based on the fortcoming Star Wars films.
Disney executives first announced their intention to create Star Wars-themed rides when the company acquired Lucasfilm in 2012 for $4.05 billion. At the time, the company also announced plans to release a seventh live-action Star Wars film in 2015.
Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens stars Harrison Ford and Carrie Fisher in their old roles and newcomers Oscar Isaac, Gwendoline Christie and Adam Driver. The film will be released in theaters on Dec. 18.
