Will Smith and Margot Robbie star in the first trailer for Focus.
The 46-year-old actor portrays Nicky Spurgeon, an experienced con man who takes novice grifter Jess Barrett (Margot Robbie) under his wing. Nicky breaks off the relationship once he develops romantic feelings for Jess, and he runs into her a year later while on his latest job. His former protégé is now an expert con artist, and throws his plans for a loop both professionally and personally.
Focus is directed by Glen Ficarra and John Requa, the directors behind I Love You Phillip Morris and Crazy, Stupid, Love. Rodrigo Santoro, Gerald McRaney, BD Wong and Robert Taylor also star, and the film is scheduled for release February 27, 2015.
Smith last appeared as Judge in Winter's Tale, and is attached to star in Hancock 2 and The American Can. Robbie is best known for her role as Laura Cameron on ABC series Pan Am and Naomi Lapaglia in Martin Scorsese film The Wolf of Wall Street, and will appear in Suite Française, Z for Zachariah and Tarzan.
