A preview of Kamel Yaich’s first feature-length film, Mista, was shown Wednesday at the Ibn Zeydoun movie theatre in Algiers, in the presence of members of the film’s team.
First experience in the cinema world for Kamel Yaich, who is accustomed to stage, “Mista” looks back at the events Algeria went through in the 1990s, relating the tragedies that marked this period.
This 102-minute feature-length film relates Mourad’s story (played by Dahmane Idrous), a father living in a working class area in the capital where he works as a waiter in a coffee shop and who, because of his social situation, has a second job as a liquor deliveryman.
The characters of the movie are played by Fouzi Saichi, Rania Serouti, Aziz Boukrouni, Nadia Talbi and Ahmed Benaissa.
