The Dream of Shahrazad explores the recent history of political and social events in Egypt, Turkey and Lebanon by merging together music, politics and storytelling.
Like princess Shahrazad tells stories to save lives in The 1001 Nights, in the film, a youth orchestra conductor, a Cairean storytelling troupe, a troubled Lebanese actress and various others all put art to new political use.
