Author Anders Wennerstrom has studied gender for years. During this time he published four works, primarily poetry. His fascination with gender studies grew and with it the idea for his latest poetry collection, “A Gender Cosmology” (published by Trafford Publishing), which tackles gender head on.
“Readers will be able to open new portals in their minds after having read this, not only on a human scale but also in our perception of the matter around us endorses a romantic possibility close to a Romantic aesthetics however on terms written from today’s situation,” Wennerstrom says.
In his new poetry collection, Wennerstrom discusses gender as something that is not only exclusive to humans, but something he believes can be found in nature. He hopes to drives this point home through his poems, which apply concepts of gender to elements of nature as well as inanimate objects or events.
An excerpt from the poem “9.” taken from “A Gender Cosmology”:
“The deserted house is gendered,
left in its ambiguity
of absent life,
but full of traces
that inherently occupy
life enigmas,”
