Over the course of eight years, C.D. Boyden wrote poetry and shared a few of his works with friends. With their encouragement, Boyden decided to publish his new collection of poetry, “Poems from the Heart: Reflections of Love” (published by Trafford Publishing).
Within his new anthology, Boyden hits on many universal themes such as relationships, love, hope and inspiration. Words he uses to describe his collection are “heartfelt”, “easy-to-read” and “meaningful”.
“Everyone at some point is looking for a little peace to themselves,” Boyden says. “This book of poetry provides a little peace and will give the reader a break from everyday life.”
An excerpt from the poem “Someday,” featured in “Poems from the Heart”:
“I created Someday just for you.
It’s not Sunday, it’s not Monday.
You can’t find it on the calendar:
It’s not a day of the week.
It’s not an hour or two.
It’s the time I share with you.”
