novelist Abdelkader Berghouth publishes "Didane Akhir El-Laïl" (Worms by the night of the night), a collection of short Arabic language stories, including fantastic and realistic stories written at the beginning of his literary career.In this 84-page book published by “Mim”, the writer addresses with a language devoid of frills, the everyday and emotional life of ordinary Algerians, through very concise texts, stemmed from contemplating different characters, inspired by nature or experienced throughout history.Fscinated Child during a religious pilgrimage, nostalgic old lovers who could not live their story because of the war, sacrificed or metamorphosed artists to relieve the pain of others are all narrators that supply the collection’s thirty stories.In addition to the multiple narrative voices and situations, the author uses different registers according to the texts: fantastic, even surreal, and realistic for the shorter ones, suggesting a moral for the longer ones.Discrete author, rarely present in cultural events, Abdelkader Barghouth, born in 1976, is considered one of the most talented Algerian Arabic-speaking writers of his generation.His first novel "Djibal El-Hana’a, Manabi El Mesk" (2010) was awarded the Prize of President of the Republic "Ali Maachi for youth creators "and had received very good critics in the press.Also playwright, Abdelkader Berghouth is regular columnist in the regional weekly "El Djelfa."
