Author SaraSwati Shakti is a psychotherapist and life coach who has had a successful career in helping people overcome the effects of change and the emotional journey accompanying that change, including grief, loss, self-esteem and self-awareness.
In her new book of poetry and art focusing on the power of the heart, “Heart Art mandala’verse: Original Art and Poetry for the Heart” (published by Balboa Press), Shakti shares her secret to staying in tune with the heart and its language, art and poetry.
This new book uses traditionally spiritual mandala images in a new form, Shakti says. Each mandala is accompanied by poetry to describe the image and inspire in readers a sense of reflection and connection with their hearts.
“It can give a wonderful boost to the reader’s mood,” Shakti says of her book. “It is lyrical and delightful. It appeals to a gentler, lighter part of life and encourages positivity and meaning. It crosses all walks of life.”
Shakti hopes “Heart Art mandala’verse” will help readers connect to the colors, senses and feelings of each poem and artwork within when life seems dull.
