Disruptions at Brussels airports extended to a second day as some air-traffic controllers continued to stay off the job in a dispute over employment terms, hampering efforts to bring the hub back to normal after last month’s terrorist attacks in the Belgian capital.
Brussels Airport and Brussels Airlines, the hub’s principal carrier, said more than 50 out of 400 flights had been canceled.
Flights in the airspace around Brussels have been reduced due to staffing problems, Eurocontrol, Europe’s air-traffic control agency said.
