A sick Omani citizen is being flown home from China by the Royal Air Force, the Ministry of Defence has announced.
The Royal Air Force of Oman has dispatched a plane today morning to the People’s Republic of China to transport an Omani citizen who is in the country. The citizen had underwent surgery, which unfortunately resulted with the patient falling into in a coma.
He was not able to fly by commercial air plane due to his condition, and the Ministry of Defense said that the absence of other means of transport to return to the Sultanate is what prompted their action.
“This dispatch is on the basis of the care and attention paid by the Government of His Majesty Sultan bin Qaboos bin Said to the people of this dear country.”
“This comes under the framework of services that the Ministry of Defence, and the Sultan’s armed forces provide for the citizens and residents of the homeland,” the statement added.
The flight is expected to return with the citizen on Saturday.
