The Shoura Council called on Saudi Arabia’s main aviation body to lower the high prices of internal airfare tickets and to complete a self-service system for all airports.
The council adopted its decision after hearing views of the Committee on Transport, Communications and Information Technology on the annual report of the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA).
In its resolution, the council called on the GACA to oblige airlines to provide the necessary seating capacity for internal flight passengers.
The council also asked the authority to require airlines to effectively address customer problems and notify them within 15 days of the submission of a complaint.
