Transportation Minister Galal Said Sunday took a train that headed to Tanta from Cairo to check on the services provided to passengers and the train’s cleanliness.
He also talked to a number of passengers and listened to their suggestions.
The minister, accompanied by Gharbiya Governor Deif Sakr, toured Tanta train station to follow up the development works at the terminal.
He stressed the importance of finalizing the development works as soon as possible.
The minister directed the railways authority’s leaderships to achieve all citizens’ demands, including increasing the number of trains.
He pointed out that a plan was set to develop the railways system, adding that the Egyptian National Railways, Military Production Ministry and road companies affiliated to the ministry will cooperate in developing 185 stations.
