Iraqi joint forces along with Air Force and International Coalition airplanes are fiercely fighting to free the right side of Mosul city from Daesh. They managed to destroy 3 of their hideouts and killed doznes of them, while some sir strikes on the right side of Mosul destroyed a number of tanks and fuel transport vehicles. At the same time, US Defense Secretary James Mattis declared the negotiations with Baghdad government about Daesh, saying that eliminating this group is still US priority.
War Media cell announced in a statement that according to investigations and Intelligence Agency data, Air force carried out strikes that destroyed a Daesh nest and killed a lot of extremists including their security official in Tal Afar, along with another hideout frequented by a so-called military commander of west of Mosul and Badush which resulted in killing of many extremists. The statement added that these strikes also destroyed number of tanks in Al-Yarmouk and Al-Thawra neighborhoods, and a lab for explosive wheels.
According to local sources, Daesh uses children between 12-14 years old to move the explosive materials to their manufacturing areas to camouflage military forces to keep these areas secret.
During search for wanted, there were reports of extremist elements in Al-Fatimi intersection area, and based on these information a squat was formed and they were all arrested. The wanted are asked for question for leaking information to Al-Qaeda and terrorism. The ministry of Defense announced that the forces managed to capture a dangerous extremist, who is wanted for investigation and trial for different charges in “Amiraat Belmansour” street.
Baghdad Operations’ room media confirmed in a statement the death of two suicide bombers wearing explosive belts after being raided by a force of the 22nd Brigade, and this operation was carried out based on intelligence data about their hidings.
The chairman of parliament, Salim al-Jubouri received in his office representative of the Secretary-General in Iraq, Jan Kubic to discuss the security and political developments in the country. Al-Jubouri added that this meeting also discussed refugees situation and the international efforts exerted to return them to their homes after freeing them from Daesh, confirming that the victories achieved by security unites in Mosul and other places, helped with the political and security situation in the country.
He added that the international community and United Nations’ roles are vital in supporting the parliament and government to eliminate Daesh, highlighting the importance of achieving justice between all the bodies and adopting a national dialogue. He demanded more meetings with concerned bodies to decide on the settlement file in line with the sensitivity of the phase, which require exceptional efforts from all political parts.
