Morocco defeated Tanzania 3-1 on Sunday
Morocco sealed qualification for the African Cup of Nations 2012 after beating Tanzania on Sunday in the sixth and final round of the qualifiers.
Marouane Chamakh opened the scoring
in the 21st minute, Adel Taarabt doubled the lead on an excellent free kick in the 71stminute and Mbark Boussoufa completed the rout in the 90thminute.
Abdi Khassim Sadala scored the visitors’ consolation goal in the 40thminute.
In the other match of the Group D, Algeria defeated Central African Republic 2-0 courtesy to goals from Hassan Yebda and Foued Kadir on 3 and 29 minutes.
Morocco claim the top spot with 11 points three ahead of Algeria and Central African Republic while Tanzania are bottom with just five points.
Sudan also qualified for the finals as one of the two second-best placed teams in the qualifiers.
