Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, member of Sharjah Prize for Literature's board of directors, honored on Wednesday the winners of the prize during the inauguration of the Sharjah Children's Reading Festival (SCRF).
Egypt won the first and second prizes by researches written by Amany Mohamed el Sayed and Mohamed Ibrahim el Desoki while the third prize was given to UAE researcher Ahmed Othman Ahmed.
Qasimi also honored the winners of 2017 Sharjah Children's Books Illustrations Exhibition including artists from Spain, Italy, Mexico and Egypt.
During the festival, Qasimi inspected the halls of the festival and the pavilions of a number of local, Arab and foreign publishing houses.
Sharjah Children's Reading Festival is attended by 179 guests including Arab and foreign writers, media figures, artists and experts from various countries in which 2,093 activates are held during the festival.
