Egyptian actor Ahmed Eid expressed his happiness with his return to the big screen, after an absence of five years, through his new movie Yabani Asli (Native Japanese) which will be released in the mid-year vacation. Eid said that he has been preparing for this movie since 2009, because it needed a big budget to pay for Japanese actors who starred in the movie.
He told Arabs Today that the Egyptian people had experienced hard times during the last period, pointing out that he suffered from psychological and social pressures. Eid added that he is not a big fan of parties held by producers, and it definitely had a negative impact on his career in cinema or TV series.
He asserted that his movie is comedy and suitable for all the Egyptian family, noting that the movie has no PG-13 scenes or swearing words. Eid pointed out that the presence of Japanese children in the movie will attract Egyptian children to watch it.
Arabs Today asked Eid about a phrase mentioned in the movie, "I swear to God those are my children!" which seems to be mocking Egyptian actor Ahmed Ezz when he once tweeted "I swear to God those are not my children." Eid answered that this phrase is very unusual everyone says it, pointing out that Ahmed Ezz has never tweeted that phrase.
Eid praised the movie's producer Ayman Yousef, saying that he took responsibility for this movie, especially as there were a number of foreign actors. In regard with TV series, Eid said that he played the leading role in Azmet Sokar series (Sokar's Dilemma) in 2010, which achieved great success, when he worked with a professional production company, then he presented Alf Salama series (Good Bye), followed by Saheb El-Saada series (His Excellency) with great Egyptian actor Adel Emam.
