The Egyptian great actor, Farid Shawky, has left the world 19 years ago, after he presented many films and artworks. Many stars participated with him in his works, including Adel Imam, Noor Al Sharif, Mahmoud Yaseen, Wael Nour, Khaled Mahmoud, Nora, Bossi, Farouq Al Fishawi, Issaad Younis and Afaf Shoaib.
On the anniversary of his death, the stars talked about him, where the great actress Nabila Obeid said that he was a true king and the spiritual father of all the artists. "He always collected artists and cares about their affairs and advises them," she said, adding that she visited him in the late days of his life and he had a dream to stand on his feet to thank his fans, noting that she did not forget that he cooperated with her in a group of films such as "Rabaa Al Adawiya", "Three thieves" and "Al Shaytan Yai'ez."
As for actress Boussy, she called him as " My dad Faried", adding that he was very keen to show the stars with him in all his films. He was indeed the guide to us. "He always assured us and congratulated us on the success of our work," Boussy said, adding that he considered Nour al-Sharif as one of his sons. She indicated that she participated with him in a group of distinguished works, including "Al Oustaz Ya'aref Aktar" (Professor knows more).
For her part, actress Nadia El-Gendy explained that Farid Shawky is a different actor, who quickly developed himself and was the master of all the middle generation. "He supported the artists in their films, and despite his stardom, he was very modest," she added, indicating that he loved people and interacted with the studio workers and he always said simple people are the real audience that makes the star.
The great actor Mahmoud Yaseen pointed out that Farid Shawky is a phenomenon. "He succeeded in the performance of all characters in the Egyptian cinema and shined in television and theater as well, and was able to develop quickly and did not care about the role, but what the impact of the role," Yaseen added.
