Naya
The Lebanese singer Naya refused to reveal her upcoming album’s title to be released in April, after it was rumoured to be called “Mandam Alek” or “I don’t regret you”, which was the name
of her Managing Director Elie Deeb’s ex-wife Nawal El-Zoghbi's last album. She also denied she was married to Deeb.
In an interview with ‘Arabstoday’ Naya said “the title of my next album will be a surprise, despite the rumors that suggested its name without asking me or my Managing Director Elie Deeb, adding that, these rumors were like free publicity for the album before its release.
Meanwhile, Naya said that, her coming album includes nine songs from several song writers, composers and distributors, assuring that she will shoot a video for more than one song with two production companies (Sky's The Limit Productions and Arabica Production Company.)
Naya also denied rumors that she is in disagreement with her producer of “Arabica Production Company."
“First it was said that the company will shut down and then the rumor-mongers talked about “disputes” occurring between us, but I assure that my relation with Arabica is stronger than they can imagine,” she said
Moreover, Naya denied the rumors that she is married to her Managing Director Elie Deeb, stressing that they are just close friends.
Regarding reports that Deeb is trying to attack his ex-wife Nawal El-Zoghbi by working with Naya, she said “Elie believes in my talent and thinks that I’m a potential star, and they -rumour mongers- are trying to attack him by spreading these rumors, but I proved that my voice is my talent and I'm not here not for petty revenge.”
About shooting a commercial she said “I shot a commercial in Qatar, but I’ll not reveal the brand’s name, which was for an international corporation, and I’m preparing to travel to Qatar to attendthe company’s opening ceremony.”
