The young Belgian designer has revealed his first ever campaign for Fall-Winter 2014, and he's picked his favorite model-muse, Anja Rubik, as the star!
The 31-year-old Polish model, who famously appeared in a daring thigh split dress by Anthony Vaccarello at the Met Ball in 2012, was captured by photographic duo Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin.
"Anja Rubik is a muse, close friend and a huge inspiration to me," said Vaccarello of his campaign's star. "We met five years ago through a friend. We started talking straightaway, and she's really supported me from the beginning. I'm always amazed by the things she does for me."
Yadim took care of makeup, with hair by Shay Ashual, and the look of the campaign was inspired by famed late 20th century fashion and beauty illustrator Tony Viramontes: "I wanted a raw image and to do something very dynamic that looked like a sketch," explained Vaccarello. The text color was apparently designed to reflect the red in the collection and the film poster aesthetic.
Vaccarello is also set to reveal his first collaboration with Donatella Versace on the Italian label's Versus line; previous seasons have been designed by Jonathan Anderson and musician M.I.A.
