French fashion designer Jean-Charles De Castelbajac
French fashion designer Jean-Charles De Castelbajac has teamed up with Rossignol to design a new collection of looks for style-conscious skiers. The line, which includes both apparel and equipment, is available now through
Rossignol\'s retailers.
This is the 12th time that Rossignol has invited the designer to bring his signature style to a line of jackets, ski pants and skis.
The flagship look of this latest collection is an ensemble consisting of the \"Emily\" jacket (€400, around $540) and the \"Hilda\" ski pants (€550, around $750), both in white and accented by the stylist\'s distinctly recognizable characters and drawings in black, red and blue.
Other pieces, such as a ski outfit with a cloud print over a blue sky, feature a similarly trendy, quirky style.
The skis in the new collection are designed for skiers looking to hone their skills, namely through twin-tip skis, which make it easier to ski backwards.
In addition to his traditional collaboration with Rossignol, Jean-Charles de Castelbajac is bringing his designs to the slopes in another project this season. The designer has decorated the two panoramic cable cars of the famous Vanoise Express, which crosses the valley at the Paradiski ski area in Savoy in the French Alps. The Paradiski resort, which is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year, will unveil the decorated cable cars on October 17.
