During a Seminar After winning the “Young Creative Entrepreneur” award, a group of 23 people from different corners of the word, including the Lebanese Talla Hajjar have been flown to London and accommodated at the full expense of the British Council. An impeccable organization of back to back seminars and workshops for 7 days, with some of UK\'s most internationally renowned and acclaimed entrepreneurs and foundations:
A talk with Sir Paul Smith in his workspace, seminars at the London Fashion Week (Sommerset House) with consultant and talent scout Andrew Tucker, a talk with Paul Priestman the designer of giant projects such as the Airbus A380 and Virgin Trains, brands\' consultant Sally Denton, founder of one of the most successful online boutiques \'Not Just a Label\' Stefan Seigal, the world\'s leading trend forecasting site WGSN, BLOW PR who have worked on many fashion weeks and work closely with the London Fashion Week, DBA (Design Business Association), visits to the Royal College of Art, London Design festival, 100% design and Designerblock... the list goes on and on...
Another unforgettable experience was meeting the other YCEs from different countries such as Brazil, Mexico , Russia, Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand, Poland and many more!
Inspiring success stories from creative entrepreneurs in emerging markets.
Working closely with the British Council team, whether the Lebanese local office or the UK headquarters, has been such a pleasure and an unforgettable learning experience for Tala. She says:”Their genuine passion, drive and efforts to support the international collaborations of the Creative and Cultural economies with the UK has been so motivating. I hope to share and apply all what I\'ve seen and learned in that magical week. I believe we have incredible potential in Lebanon with our growing creative economy, yet any crucial help and support can make a huge difference! I am already working with The British Council on our next project.”
\"The Young Creative Entrepreneur”, Design and Fashion award finds the brightest stars in the world of international design and fashion, recognizing the importance of entrepreneurs in driving forward the design and fashion industries, developing their independent sector and representing the best of what’s going on in their local scene.
Their YCE prize is a trip to London to bridge connections for future commercial and collaborative work with the UK. This will include curated group meetings, professional development training and the opportunity to attend major industry events.
