Miranda Kerr walks on the runway at Victoria's Secret Fashion Show
Victoria's Secret Angels Adriana Lima and Candice Swanepoel made an important announcement while visiting London's Victoria's Secret Bond Street store on Tuesday: The 2014 VS Fashion show will be held in London. "We're very proud to
announce that we're heading to London this year," Lima said. "The Victoria's Secret Show is the biggest fashion show in the world, for sure, so it will be amazing to bring the show to London. I love it here. Especially the shopping!"
The show, which has been held in New York City for the past few years, is scheduled for Dec. 2, 2014. Victoria's Secret marketing director Ed Razek, who accompanied Lima and Swanepoel during their visit, said the company had been planing to relocate the event to the U.K. since 1998.
"Candidly, we weren't well known enough here until we opened the stores. We have six stores in the UK now," he said regarding their decision to make move this year.
In the past, the show has also been held in Cannes, Miami and Los Angeles.
Asked whether British It Girl Cara Delevingine would participate in the event, Razek said she has already been asked. The 21-year-old model has walked the catwalk for the show in 2012 and in 2013.
"I'll let you into a secret. I told Cara a few days ago and asked her to save the date, so hopefully she will walk," he said. "She was excited. And she kept the secret for a whole week!"
