The winners of the Building Healthcare Awards 2015 were announced this afternoon at the Building Healthcare Middle East Exhibition & Congress in Dubai, UAE. The annual Awards recognise leaders in the healthcare industry who have devoted their efforts to building hospitals that help improve healthcare services in the Middle East and raise the bar in providing world-class patient care.
UAE hospitals were awarded first place for four of the nine categories - Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi for Best Hospital Design Award, Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi for the Best Sustainable Hospital Project Award, Eastern Clinical Laboratories for Best Technology Initiative Award and Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi for the people's choice Awards.
"We would like to congratulate this year's awards recipients for their diligent efforts in refining patient care in the region," said Simon Page, Managing Director, Informa Life Sciences Exhibitions, organisers of Building Healthcare Awards. "The winners come from the UAE, Qatar, Lebanon, and Saudi Arabia, and were chosen from more than 70 nominees who have excelled in the region's hospital build and infrastructure sector."
Commenting on their win for the Best Technology Initiative Award, Dr Faruq M. Badiuddin, Chairman and Managing Director, Eastern Clinical Laboratories, Dubai, UAE said, "Winning this award is a great honour that will motivate us to improve further and to inspire others to excel in the true spirit of Dubai."
The judges commended the consideration of ease of use for users of the Eastern Clinical Laboratories system for being truly leading the field. This coupled with outstanding geographical coverage.
Other winners of Building Healthcare Awards 2015 include: Best Laboratory Design Award - Qatar Bio Bank, Qatar Best Hospital of the Future Award - Al-Taif Children Hospital, KSA Best Physical Environment Award - Enaya Specialised Care Centre, HMC, Qatar Best Healing Environment Award - Clemenceau Medical Centre, Lebanon Best Facilities Management Service Strategy Award - Clemenceau Medical Centre, Lebanon Peoples' Choice Award - Cleveland Clinic, Abu Dhabi, UAE Building Healthcare Middle East Exhibition & Congress continues tomorrow (10th June) at the Dubai International Convention & Exhibition Centre, Dubai, UAE. The event provides a platform to share best practice in design and construction of healthcare facilities, and to source technologies and services that will maximise facility operations and improve patient experience in the Middle East.
Building Healthcare Middle East Exhibition & Conferences, organised by Informa life Sciences Exhibitions, is the regional hub for healthcare facility planning, design, construction and maintenance. The exhibition will host to more than 150 exhibitors and 6,500 attendees from 70 countries. The event will also feature 12 free-to-attend conferences with more than 100 local, regional and global speakers. The event takes place from 8-10 June 2015 at the Dubai International Convention & Exhibition Centre.
