At least 200 firms representing 21 countries, including 46 from Algeria, are expected at the 18th International Fair of Medicines and Medical Equipment (SIMEM) which will be held from 15 to 18 April in Oran, said Sunday the event’s organizers.
Medical imaging will take the lion’s share in this fair, which will see the presence of famous firms from China (24), Italy (18), Germany (15), Spain (12), France (12), Japan (08) and USA (7 firms) to propose a varied range of sophisticated medical appliances, including scanners and MRI, said in a press conference Mustapha Chaouch, representative of the agency of communication "Krizalid" of Oran, the event’s organizer.
Technological innovations of about a dozen manufacturers in the field of medical imaging will be presented, said Chaouch, adding that visitors can find, in this fair, the surgery instrumentation and equipment, laboratory equipment, pharmaceutical products and other hospital hygiene products.
SIMEM is also meant to offer to the professional visitors a direct contact with the experts of laboratories and manufacturers, added the source.
