Stunning entrance to Costa Navarino hotel Costa Navarino, the prime Mediterranean destination in the Greek region of Messinia, southwest Peloponnese, and Worldwide Kids Company, the well-known professional childcare training and consultancy company, have come together
in a unique combination to offer the best in children‘s activities and take the whole family’s holiday experience to another level.
Costa Navarino is the prime, sustainable destination in the Mediterranean, located in the Greek region of Messinia in the southwest Peloponnese. One of the most unspoiled and breathtaking seaside Mediterranean landscapes, this area has been shaped by 4,500 years of history. Its philosophy is driven by a genuine desire to promote Messinia, while protecting and preserving its natural beauty and heritage. It will comprise a number of distinct sites featuring five-star deluxe hotels, luxury residences, conference facilities, spa and thalassotherapy centres, signature golf courses, as well as a wide range of unique year-round activities for adults and children.
The global expertise of Worldwide Kids Company joins Costa Navarino’s philosophy for the creative engagement of children, to manage the services for young guests, where they are encouraged to discover the history and traditions of Messinia through fascinating day-long activities at the SandCastle for the ages four to 12 and imaginative play at Cocoon crèche for babies from four months to three year old toddlers. Both centres have been specifically designed and built for children. The Cocoon is a childcare space that tantalises all the senses for imaginative play inside and out. Activities for babies and toddlers are designed to encourage their curiosity and intrigue their senses, with toddler activities developed for sharing and social interaction skills.
The SandCastle addresses children four to 12 years old, in two different age groups. Through a carefully developed programme, fun and entertainment is combined with getting to know the region’s history and nature, through a set of activities, such as those developed in association with National Geographic. At the SandCastle, the ancient world of legends and Greek mythology comes to life, children become part of Costa Navarino’s stories through sport and fun games, adventures with Messinian pirates, following in the steps of ancient heroes, creating and painting inspired by the area’s history and nature.
Right next to the SandCastle, is the aqua park with exciting games for the whole family, as well as the indoors sports centre, for basketball and other sports to entice the young athletes. Within the weekly activities program, children enjoy many of the offerings at Navarino Dunes including water sports by Navarino Sea, the fully equipped Golf Academy, and outdoor activities by Navarino Outdoors for exploring the Messinian countryside. A major attraction for the young guests is the Navarino Natura Hall by Hellenic Postbank. Through interactive means, both parents and kids learn about the uniqueness and beauty of the natural habitats of the region and familiarise themselves with environmental protection issues, for a truly fun and learning experience which leads them to exploring the area first-hand.
